As mentioned there are three phases in the Playvel publication process

This is a general description of the agreements process only to give you an idea.  The actual agreements contain more details which are not included here.  The three agreements required by our legal team for publication are:

1. Submission
2. Adaptation
3. Publication

Each phase contains an agreement which both the author(s) and Playvel must agree to.

The Submission Agreement and submission process covers basic submission release conditions for your script such as proof of ownership, submission fee, clear title, and other terms and conditions that apply. The usual $50.00 fee to cover the costs of submission and review is currently waived.

If you are invited by Playvel to adapt your underlying work (most often a screenplay or stage play) into a Playvel you will be asked to agree to Playvel’s Adaptation Agreement. The Adaptation Agreement terms and conditions cover the adaptation phase where you convert your underlying work to the Playvel format. Playvel will provide details on the format to you and will work with you as you convert you work. Playvel may make suggestions for enhancements to your work and the inclusion of those suggestions in your Playvel are strictly your decision. Playvel will make a final decision to publish your Playvel at our sole discretion at the conclusion of the Adaptation phase. If we elect not to publish your work any idea we have provided for improvement during the adaptation phase is yours to keep and you can update your underlying work (your screenplay or stage play) with that content as you see fit and with no obligation to Playvel. However, the publication of your Playvel (which is your underlying work, in the Playvel format) remains our decision.  If we elect not to publish it then you agree to leave it unpublished as well.

The Adaptation Agreement also contains other standard clauses, warranties, indemnities, non-disclosure, cancellation provisions and other details regarding the Adaptation Phase. There is no cost to the Author for adaptation of their underlying work into a Playvel.

If we elect to publish your work you will be asked to sign The Publication Agreement which contains provisions to cover such items as publication rights, syndication, excerpts, disclosure, no compensation, conception of similar material by Playvel, author warranties, Playvel warranties, indemnities, non-disclosure, cancellation and other provisions and standard publication agreement details.  There is a publication fee of $150.00 Canadian to the author to cover Playvel’s costs for graphics creation and other incidentals.  If you provide your own cover page graphics acceptable to Playvel then the cost for publication will be $50.00 Canadian to cover incidental expenses.

The Publication agreement also contains details regarding fees to be paid to the author and those to be retained by Playvel. Playvel has an aggressive marketing strategy and will seek to promote (at our sole discretion) Playvels to the reading public and to the production industry at large as viable content for production based upon the demand for the work established by its publication on the Playvel site.

There is more to these agreements than described above but the aforementioned provides the gist.
